Music Programme
On the
29th and 30th of October, this special format of Sónar will present new works by the most innovative local and international artists in contemporary music such as
Koreless, Tirzah, Leon Vynehall, Space Afrika, Parrenin/Weinrich/Rollet, Object Blue A/V Live, BFlecha, Il Quadro di Troisi, Die Wilde Jagd, Rakky Ripper, DJ Nigga Fox, Cora Nova & The Artifacts, Marina Herlop, Bikôkô, Sau Poler, Iro Aka, Materia, Palica or
Verde Prato, among many others. All the concerts will take place at the CCCB Hall and Teatre.
Barcelona’s
alternative radio platform Dublab.es will curate the stage at the CCCB’s Pati de les Dones, presenting a dozen artists representative of the Barcelona music ecosystem including
Zenjiskan and H Waas or DJ's Gerard Sun, Dania, Gonzo, La Niña Jacarandá, Misbah, D.N.S, DJ Watusawa, Creole Princess, Lowprofile, Neska, Baba Sy and
Wave 131.
The programme also includes
exclusive video performances created for the occasion by artists such as
Yeule filmed in London in collaboration with Somerset House Studios-
Jasss b2b Cem featuring Harriet Davey AV set filmed at Factory Berlin; or the talk
"How to have fun", with multidisciplinary designer and 3D artist
Vincent Schwenk, presented by Patreon, among others.

Talks and presentations by Sónar+D
The
conference space at Sónar+D connects the worlds of art, science and technology in a program organized into five thematic blocks with a focus on
sustainability, creative coding and artificial intelligence, new digital imaginaries, future cities and
new digital economies beyond crypto-platforms.
During the two days, SónarCCCB will also
host a number of projects arising from the
collaboration between local leaders in the fields of creativity, training and research. Some examples are the scientific research project
"Carbolytics", developed by artist and researcher
Joana Moll with the
Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and
Aksioma, which visualizes the energy impact of internet cookies; the new audiovisual project by
Cora Novoa - the result of her artistic residency at the
Taller de Músics; the presentation of the European collaborative project
SYNX, organized in association with
MindSpaces, a project by S+T+ARTS Lighthouse under the artistic direction of
Eina Idea; the the workshops ‘How to Patreon with Hainbach’, ‘Find your Groove with Beatport LINK’, or the workshop by new media artist
Mónica Rikić, presented by
BAU Design College of Barcelona.
European Co-Productions
The spirit of co-creation of this SónarCCCB has a special European dimension, with the participation of artistic curatorship in this edition of festivals such as
Today's Art (The Hague),
Insomnia (Tromsø),
℅ Pop (Cologne) and
Elevate (Graz) in the framework of the
We Are Europe platform of the Creative Europe program, or Sónar’s collaborations with leading cultural institutions such as
Factory Berlin and
Somerset House, London.
Collaboration with In-Edit
SónarCCCB will have a special closing day on Sunday, October 31 in the form of
a marathon of music documentaries organized in collaboration with the In-Edit festival, including a release screening of "Laurent Garnier: Off the Record", whichs covers the career of the iconic French artist, and a special end-of-party session of unreleased clips from some of the most memorable shows in the history of Sónar. The collaboration with In-Edit is extended with a
one-on-one conversation between Laurent Garnier and JA Bayona, which will take place on Saturday, October 30 in the SónarCCCB talks program.
All the talks and debates, as well as most of the concerts and DJ sets will be part of the
SónarCCCB online program. They will be streaming for free at
live.sonar.es and will be recorded by betevé for later broadcast and video on demand.
