Biohacking is a practice related to bio art that can be as simple as playing with household ingredients (like in this workshop) or as complex as editing DNA. In between, there are endless possibilities and all of them bring us to learn and understand scientific concepts through practice.
A way to get ourselves acquainted with biohacking is following the instructions of this workshop facilitated by the biologist and computer scientist Núria Conde, who is working on her PhD thesis on biocomputation.
We will learn how the light interacts to produce luminescence or fluorescence using common materials from the countertop of our kitchens. Most of which are actually edible or drinkable recipes.
